Quality Assurance/Tester Position
Origo Software is looking for talented QA and Testing Analyst's with programming skills and experience in Test Plans,Test Suites, Web Application Testing and Software Quality Assurance methodologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for managing daily processing jobs for several business critical environments.Additional responsibilities will include writing shell scripts, code, testing, and supporting ongoing software
development efforts using LAMP, JAVA, and various Web technologies.
Uses advanced knowledge in the creation, preparation, and conduct of quality assurance reviews and the development
and execution of test plans and test scripts. Performs QA activities for daily production processes and evaluates
artifacts produced by data analysts to ensure quality output and results that meet SLA and contractual mandates,
as well as postal processing standards.
Works with staff and clients to establish and maintain a consistent test and verification methodology and resolves
questions during the VV&T process. May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on projects.
Analyzes, tests, and certifies application-specific software and performs ambiguity reviews of business requirements
and functional specification documents. Uses knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying,
evaluating, and resolving complex test problems. Participates in planning and directing quality assurance schedules
and assignments, and monitoring project status in comparison to cost/time projections. Logs, tracks, and verifies
resolution of software and specification defects. Documents all phases of QA process. Researches new products and
industry methodologies and provide inputs in the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
May be responsible for reviewing, designing and distributing training materials as well as help documentation for
portals, client sites and system manuals.
The QA Analyst may act as the software testing lead and hands on contributor on certain projects that require
coordination among multiple testers. In that capacity they will develop test plans, test cases, test reports and test estimates.
Create test data requests and test scripts. Clearly identify to a detailed level, changes to software and interfaces.
Demonstrable command of testing tools, processes and standards is expected. Negotiates cross-system deliverables and
leads coordination of data exchange between systems, peers, teams and clients. Conducts and participates in technical
reviews/walkthroughs for all software development and testing products. Executes test cases and scripts.
Demonstrates expert ability to test across all platforms including new directions and technologies.
Performs risk assessment/testing audits to ensure appropriate levels of integration and system testing are completed.
Is proactive in efforts to establish and verify compliance with entry/exit criteria to approve software migration/promotion
between development, test and production environments. Prepares, distributes and tracks defect reports using defect tracking tools.
Conducts status meetings for testing and QA activities. Consults with management to provide information regarding software
and production system readiness/jeopardy items. Documents and distributes status reports for testing and QA.
Develops and maintains testing processes and standards. Performs defect root cause analysis and makes related process improvements.
Must e a Systems and Quality subject matter expert. Maintains knowledge consistent with changing technological needs of the user community.
